Seed Library
The Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library is excited to offer free seeds to get your garden started, from Early March through end of September! Stop by any of our branches. The library accepts seed donations year round to help keep the seed bank stocked and available to all!
Borrowing Seeds
Visit the LTIPL Grows Seed Library located at each of our branches starting in February each year.
Browse the collection for what you want to grow this season.
Select the seeds you would like to borrow, and fill out the supplied checkout form.
Drop the checkout form at our circulation desk.
Donating or Returning Harvested Seeds
After the growing season is done, harvest your heirloom veggie seeds from the plant you grew. We can provide a step-by-step guide to aid you in the harvest of seeds if needed.
Place seeds from each vegetable in its own envelope or bag and label it with the type of seed.
Drop your seeds off at any of our branches and your seeds will be added into the collection for sharing in the community next year!
