Novel Coronavirus: COVID-19 Updated – March 30, 2020

The Leeds & The Thousand Islands Public Libraries are CLOSED across all branches in Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, and Seeley’s Bay starting March 16, 2020 with a tentative reopen date of April 6, 2020. All programming, in person visits, inter-library loans, and on location services will not be available. Services are scheduled to return gradually after the state of emergency has been lifted in Ontario and the Leeds and the Thousand Islands as the situation is rapidly changing hourly and day-to-day.

All due dates will be extended and all fines waved during this time. Please hold on to your materials during this time.

Library Programs, Services, Events

No programs, on-location services, or events will be at this time at any branch location. All building access has been closed to the public including booked spaces through the library or township. More info can be found at the 1000 Islands Township website.

Please keep all materials at home until the library is reopened.

Even though we are closed we encourage everyone to use out digital services as they are always available! Download eBooks, eAudiobooks or stream movies using HOOPLA, KANOPY, and LIBBY on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Find your next author with What Should I Read Next or plan your new business venture. Take advantage of the free Chilton auto repair database.

Need internet access during this time? Our internet is available 24/7 at each branch and accessible from your vehicle from outside the library! Bring your portable device to access our WiFi at each branch if required.

The Library will continue to work with Township and health officials as the situation progresses over the coming weeks. Check back to this spot or our Facebook for any updates.

We encourage everyone to please stay informed about COVID-19 by referring to credible sources of information, such as the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit and  the Health Canada website.
