If we don't have the item you're looking for, we'll help you find it!

You may order authors, titles and subjects that we do not have in the Leeds and the Thousand Islands collections through our Interlibrary Loan Services. Please contact library staff at any of our branches and we will be happy to assist you.
This service is generally free. However, some libraries may charge fees for lending, photocopying and other services. This service may take anywhere from one to six weeks from time of order to receipt of material.
- The general borrowing period for interlibrary loan materials is six weeks.
- Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library.
- Many libraries do not share their audio-visual materials.
- Late and lost/damaged fees apply to interlibrary loan items.
Interlibrary loan service privileges may be suspended if fines or damages to other library’s materials are excessive. Your library account with Leeds and the Thousand Islands must also be in good standing.
Please note that other libraries are not obligated to lend their materials to other library systems. They share materials in accordance with their own policies and procedures and at their discretion.
The Interlibrary Loan website has a guest browsing feature that will allow you to search locations of resources. Visit http://info.hostedbyfdi.net/en/vdx/index.html.
