FAC – 3 Displays of Art and Collectibles
Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library welcomes displays and exhibits. Exhibits of works of art and other property not owned by the Library must be approved by the CEO. Exhibit insurance is the responsibility of the owner. Placement of the exhibited object is at the sole discretion of the Library.Displays may not be accepted for the following reasons:
Lack of suitable, safe display space on the Library premises
Object promotes a private or corporate business
Object is political in nature
Display is contrary to the policies/procedures of the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library Board
Anyone wishing to display material in the Library will be required to sign a ‘Disclaimer for display’ form assuming full responsibility for their displayed materials and releasing the Library from any liability.
FAC – 4 Bulletin Boards and Distribution of Free Materials
The Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library Board is pleased to facilitate communication between residents and community organizations by providing several public notice boards and pamphlet display areas. These display spaces are only available for the Library and non-profit organizations. Materials must be given to Library staff to place in the appropriate display area.Corporate businesses and private companies may add pamphlets and flyers to the Library’s newspaper subscriptions area with the approval of the CEO. Materials that are political in nature and/or are contrary to the policies and procedures of the Library are not permitted.
The Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library Board does not endorse the organizations or individuals whose information is displayed in the Library.
